The Taoto chair, designed by Artefatto Design Studio for the brand Secolo, emerges from a convergence of references distant in time and origin. The result is an autonomous object, one that does not echo recognisable forms but instead builds its own balance, shaped by cultural and formal contaminations. Each component contributes to a compact and functional synthesis, where the structure consistently upholds the project’s identity.

Crafted from solid wood, Taoto is available in a variety of finishes that enhance the material’s texture and tone. The seat and backrest, seamlessly integrated into the structure, consist of a wooden core padded with high-density, non-deformable foam, and are upholstered in a wide selection of fabrics and leathers. The upholstery is non-removable.

Felt glides are fitted to the feet to protect floor surfaces. The chair is delivered fully assembled. Multiple options in both wood and upholstery allow for a high degree of customisation without compromising the coherence of the piece. Taoto adapts to a range of settings, maintaining a discreet yet assertive presence that privileges the relationship between form and use while engaging in formal research.
