Toio Floor Lamp - US 110V

Toio is a floor lamp by Pier Giacomo and Achille Castiglioni for Flos. Angle iron and formed steel base, painted in a variety of colors: black, white and red. Hexagonal nickel-plated brass height-adjustable stem with telescopic head. On the cable there is the electronic dimmer which allows the regulation of light brightness.

Toio is a floor lamp created back in the 60s. A lamp created by the ready-made, assembles a special car headlight imported from the United States to fishing rod running rings, two objects with their own function revived in a new object. Toio is the humorous translation coined by Castiglioni brothers for the English word toy, with that special linguistic divertissement that lets them appropriate a foreign word and make it familiar and meaningful.
