Available in 3/4 weeksThe VP6 WG is a rug crafted by Designercarpets Drechsle and conceived by renowned designer Verner Panton. Originally created in 1960, this piece merges iconic design sensibility with meticulous craftsmanship, offering a refined interpretation of contemporary textile art.
Hand-knotted in Nepal using pure new wool, the VP6 WG stands out for its tactile richness and enduring quality. Its surface presents a balanced interplay of beige and medium grey, capturing a subtle chromatic sophistication that resonates with Panton’s legacy of bold yet harmonious palettes. The rug’s plush texture—achieved through a dense, approximately 19 mm pile—invites a sense of comfort and understated luxury, making it suitable for a variety of refined interiors, from elegant living rooms to serene private lounges.
The design philosophy of Verner Panton is reflected in the rug’s abstract composition, embodying a mid-century modern spirit while maintaining a timeless versatility. Each piece features the designer’s signature on the reverse, attesting to its authenticity and attention to detail. Adaptable to bespoke sizes, the rug integrates seamlessly with sophisticated décor schemes, enhancing both minimalist and richly layered settings. Through its tactile depth and nuanced colorway, the VP6 WG respects tradition while offering contemporary relevance, making it an evocative element in crafted interior projects.
