Yemen is a vase by Venini designed by Ettore Sottsass in multicolored glass blown and handmade.
The Transparent blown glass can either be clear (crystal glass) or colored by the addition of small amounts of metal oxides. Sometimes slightly iridescent, very often applied decorations in warm both the body of the object that finishes at the mouth or at the base of the vase, or special finished with the slight satiny finish.

Designed by Ettore Sottsass
Ettore Sottsass Jr was born in Innsbruck in 1917 by a homonymous father and an Austrian mother. In 1939 he graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Torino. Architect, designer and photographer, Sottsass were among the most influential figures of radical design. In 1957 he became Art Director for the brand Poltronova, creating some of their iconic pieces such as the Ultrafragola mirror. In 1981 he founded the Memphis group, an Italian design and architecture collective distinguished by the use of bright colours and eccentric geometrical figures.
