In the last ten years, the methods of preparing espresso at home have evolved, with the constant spread of alternative solutions to the classic Moka pot and therefore the widespread use of electric machines. This growing curiosity towards the world of coffee has produced a more conscious consumption, a research aimed at the quality of the product and its more correct transformation. The coffee varieties have become the object of tasting and the drink is no longer intended only for fleeting consumption but also for slow pauses in which to enjoy the taste and aroma in peace. It is the culture of coffee, which finally begins to spread, and with it the desire to be able to prepare it optimally even at home, to offer our guests and ourselves a moment of quality break. An important novelty, in this context, is that introduced by La Marzocco , a historic Florentine company that has imagined a line for the home: starting from a long history of production of professional espresso machines, it has designed Linea Mini , a collection with smaller size but with the same care for materials and technological research of the professional lines.

To understand the value of this new lines it is important to take a leap into the past and get to know the company better. It was born in 1927 as Officina Fratelli Bambi, from the intuition of Giuseppe Bambi, a craftsman who in his workshop was already working on the production of professional machines, at that time characterized by vertical boilers for the production of hot water and steam. He founded the company together with his brother Bruno and they decided to call it La Marzocco: Marzocco is in fact the name of the lion, a Florentine symbol of victory and triumph, also chosen for the company logo. The real turning point in production came in 1939, when Bambi designed the first professional horizontal boiler machine: an innovation that allows the addition of groups for the preparation of coffee and facilitates the operation. Innovation continued, and in 1945, La Marzocco registered a patent relating to a semi-automatic mechanism that simplified the barista's movements. Because every innovation started from the dialogue with those who used the machine, and from listening to their changing needs, while the consumption of espresso at the bar became an increasingly widespread habit.

Introducing the “domestic” lines

The development of new technologies continues and in 2015 the company is ready to face a new revolution: the preparation of espresso at home, thanks to the Mini Line and the GS3. The Mini Line is built using the same components used for professional machines, therefore with very high reliability, but has a small footprint and therefore more suitable for domestic spaces. The design, characterized by the steel body (also available colored) and the vaguely vintage lines, make it an interesting presence in the home, almost decorative. And the same goes for the GS3, another machine with a small size but with extremely high technological performance and reliability. The design of the GS3 is enriched by the possibility of customizing it with tempered glass side panels.

Linea Mini and GS3 are designed specifically for the domestic context, however for those who want a real bar machine, La Marzocco also offers other lines that can be configured, in size, according to the space requirements. Starting from the smallest with only one working group. In the image, the Leva X , with an attractive design and professional - but at the same time intuitive - functions.
