Elio Martinelli has been brilliant enough to keep up with the evolution of times, interpreting lighting with an original, never obvious, approach.
Martinelli’s creations were marked by an impactful, and yet extremely sophisticated geometric expression. He was a pioneer, an innovative artist, and he employed in his products some new materials such as the methacrylate. His lighting creations, from the Cobra to the Foglia lamps, present sinuous curves and vibrant colors; some of them are currently exhibited in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and of many other artistic institutions.
