Antoniolupi Rigatino Freestanding Washbasin

Rigatino is the pedestal washbasin designed by AL Studio for the Antoniolupi brand. Its identity is already expressed in the name, the final image makes clear the technique that becomes decoration, a distinctive feature of the project.

The Rigatino freestanding washbasin represents the encounter between technological evolution and the absolute strength of matter. A column washbasin with a cylindrical base that, like the trunk of a tree, rises from the ground to conclude with an elegant and capacious basin. The base of the basin features subtle vertical millings that reproduce parallel lines and make the surface three-dimensional and dynamic. The stem can be made of solid wood or marble, and the basin placed on top of it, in addition to marble, can be made of Flumood and Colormood. It can also be combined with the Simplotondo basin, which has the very functional integrated countertop. Its opaque uniformity is enhanced by contrast with the dynamic and irregular surface of the column. A pure volume that comes from the overlapping of two distinct elements but in constant dialogue, a compact but at the same time slender form, vibrant with light and shadow.
