Zita - Secret box

Zita Secret Box is one of the five boxes designed by the great architecture genius Ettore Sottsass for Serafino Zani's Numa.

Sottsass' unconventional vision of design allowed him to create objects with a strong experimentation in terms of materials, techniques and shapes. The Zita Secret Box is a wooden box made of layers placed one on top of the other like bricks, with a long and precise process to strengthen the wood. The box has a lid that can be opened with both hands, in keeping with the designer's original design and wishes, so as not to mistreat it: in the words of the designer, "as if the box could feel that I am being kind to it". Zita can hold your secrets, love notes, notebooks, jewellery and anything else you want to keep for yourself. It is a true design object for your home.

Zita Secret Box is a 99-piece limited edition object and its structure is made of solid maple carved from solid wood with yellow aniline stain and wax finish.
