Doge Laguna Table - Limited Edition

Doge Laguna is the limited edition of the historic table designed by Carlo Scarpa for Cassina. Steel frame and 15 mm extra-clear sandblasted/rebaked/bevelled glass top.

Doge Laguna is a 50-piece limited edition version of an international design classic from 1968. Cassina celebrates 50 years of its masters of architecture and industrial design by creating unique designs with the "M iMaestri" logo and branding with serial number and designer's signature. Clearly inspired by Venetian water, Doge Laguna's top seems to float and was made using three processes that are normally applied separately. The glass is first made opaque by striking it with sand at high speed, then the top is re-baked at a temperature of 650°C: part of the surface melts, still remaining clear, while part of it retains the opacity of the sandblasting. Finally, the edge is bevelled to make the ends clear and the corner is rounded. The valuable collaboration between Cassina and the designer's heir, Tobia Scarpa, make this product a great masterpiece.

You can change your mind
