Black Belt, a limited edition signed by Venini and Peter Marino

The "Black Belt" collection comes from a collaboration between the Venini brand and the American architect Peter Marino. The eclectic design of Marino, combined with the traditional techniques of craftsmanship of Murano glass, give life to this exclusive collection of limited edition vases produced by Venini.

Peter Marino is a New York architect known for the design of luxury brands and for signing award-winning residential projects, commercial and cultural spaces and public places all over the world. Marino is also known for having integrated over 300 contemporary works of art in his architectural projects and for the construction of his character from clothing in the middle between a front man of a rock band and an easy rider of the '70s.

Venini is a company that for almost a century continues to fascinate art lovers of the world. The authenticity of the craftsmanship mixes with the introduction of new and avant-garde techniques, making these Murano vases objects with classic, but particular and unique lines.

There are four models proposed for the "Black Belt" collection, presented in a world preview last November at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York and which recall well-defined geometric shapes: the oval, the framework, the triangle and the shape ad "8", which is inspired by the symbol of infinity.

All the vases are characterized by simple lines enriched by a fascinating and skillful play of contrasts: the transparency of the glass with shades "pink", "green grass" and "yellow black tea" is deliberately opposed to the vigorous and rocking black bands that decorate the objects that are configured as real works of art.

The glass of "Black Belt" undergoes a process of craftsmanship according to the skilled Venetian manufacturing arts to be subsequently sent by Murano to New York, where Peter Marino puts his unmistakable signature on a collection of vases with a modern and elegant style. A piece of furniture that is perfect for every home rooms.
