MDW 2018: Arper and Opinion Ciatti, between vintage and the art world
A clear reference to the art world. This is the essence of the new collection that Opinion Ciatti has designed for the home and presented at Milan Design Week 2018. New products, new finishes and range extensions by Lapo Ciatti. Fluid and light materials that acquire new colors and innovative designs.
A collection that marks a return to the conceptual origins of Opinion Ciatti: therefore, a full immersion between art and design. Thus were born chairs, tables and lamps Foliae collection by Robero Mora, the sculptural showcase YANG by Marta Giardini and the objects of Once Upon A Time collection by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman. Ptolomeo Vino has been elaborated on the basis of the drawings left by Bruno Rainaldi.
Finally, with this vision, the new versions of the Mammamia chair and stool by Marcello Ziliani, the folding Con.fort of Maurizio Galante & Tal Lancman, of ILtavolo Caffé and of the bergère Guelfo, both by Lapo Ciatti and Madama B, a new decoration for the Frutteti series designed by Gianluca Bianchi.
The style of Arper at the Milan Design Week obviously recalls a vintage setting that does not leave aside the strong presence of bright colors, almost dazzling.
Paravan Arper is a perimeter to define spaces. The design is reminiscent of an office model designed for the home. Paravan by Lievore Altherr has been designed to create intimacy in open areas with sound-absorbing panels to improve concentration during study or collaboration during work.
Iwasaki Design Studio's Kiik System plays with spaces and shapes. Also in this case the object is designed to act as a separé and finds its best collocation in the living area of an apartment or for an office & hospitality context.
