Vanity Fair Limited Edition for Children's Museum in Favara
Children are the future and it is our duty to give them a better world, teaching them to appreciate the beauty and how to recreate it, so one day they will be attentive guardians of a wealth that never extinguishes but grows from generation to generation.
It is with these intentions that Cultural Farm and Poltrona Frau have decided to collaborate in the realization of the Farm Children's Museum in Favara. The village of Agrigento is living a new life thanks to an incredible recovery initiative that has turned it into one of the world's leading contemporary art centres. The Children's Museum is a new step towards achieving a wonderful goal and will be a fantastic place where the youngest will learn and experience, having fun.
Poltrona Frau has reinterpreted the Vanity Fair armchair, brand icon, realizing three Limited Editions to support the project. A fabric with geometric motifs and contemporary charm covers the Baby and Mini versions: children have created a cheerful and colourful fantasy, fitted into a captivating texture. The third soft and stylish model, in classical size and upholstered with Pelle Frau® Nubuck leather, is inspired by Arabian Sicily and tuff architectures of the island, with its amazing sepia colour. Part of the funding derived from the sale of Vanity Fair special versions will be used to build Farm Children’s Museum. The collection includes 50 pieces of Vanity Fair Baby, 100 of the miniature and 75 of the standard version.
Andrea Bartoli and Florinda Saieva are a couple of professionals who, in 2010, started the Farm Cultural Park, an ambitious project that aims to use art as a tool for retraining degraded areas and defending against the ugliness of the world. Favara, a crumbling and abandoned place, has become a cultural centre with artists from all over the world who, with their art, contribute to its improvement; with a remarkable tourist inflow and a subsequent relaunch of economic activities.
A true example of love and courage that reveals an important choice: staying in Sicily and starting from here to give their children a world better than the one they received, returning hope to those who care about the future of this town.
