Artemide Sylt - Lighting System

Sylt is a lighting system designed by Carlotta de Bevilacqua and produced by Artemide. 

Sylt takes the concept of a system to the extreme. A single track capable of powering and supporting multiple lighting elements, offering both technological and expressive beauty, with a cross-section of only 5.5 x 12 mm.

The two copper conductors, co-extruded with a section of thermoplastic insulation material separating them, are exposed to view but completely safe. A thin strip of harmonic steel runs along the back, forming the profile and allowing different light sources to be applied to it.

The track is thus transformed into a ribbon that can be easily bent during installation to fit any geometric shape dictated by the lighting requirements and architecture of the room.

Sylt is a total change of style, due to the absence of geometric constraints in its compositions and the inclusiveness with which it accommodates multiple lighting elements, from the most innovative versions such as Helgoland, to high-tech solutions such as Vector, to minimalist lamps such as Sphere, to elements designed by other designers, such as Unterlinden by Herzog & de Meuron, Gople mini and BIG's Line 25.

A complete system that also interfaces with elements 'external' to it, and which guarantees 10 metres of power supply for each mains connection point, optimising installation.

The lighting elements connect to the track with an adapter that combines power supply, management and mechanics, for high adaptability and minimal visual impact. It is possible, by means of special mechanical and electronic adapters, to manage the dimming of the luminaires in broadcast mode via Push, Artemide App, 0-10V, Dali remote power kit.
