Founded in 1976, the company was established in the Provençal town of La-Fare-les-Oliviers and run by Gilles Derain, a leading figure in contemporary French design. After numerous collaborations with brilliant French designers and architects such as Jacques Adnet, the company was noticed by a famous Milanese entrepreneur around the 1980s. Since then, Lumen Center has emerged on the Italian and international scene, becoming an advocate of Made in Italy production.
