Mario Bellini
Class 1935, Mario Bellini is an italian designer and architect. His creations are known all over the world and range from furnishing, to lighting and designer items. Among his greatest masterpieces the Camaleonda sofa and Le Bambole, a collection of sofas and armchairs, winner of the Compasso d’Oro prize in 1979, both realized for B&B Italia, and the 412 Cab Chair in leather for Cassina.

Mario Bellini believes design is constantly evolving over time, and it has to perfectly match the current era.
The designer won eight Golden Compass Awards and 25 among his works are currently exposed in the permanent collection of MoMA, in New York. Mario Bellini was also director of the Domus magazine from 1985 to 1991. He was a true lover of every form of art, he projected uncountable art, design and architecture exhibits, both in Italy and abroad.
