FontanaArte celebrates Tavolo con Ruote 35th anniversary with a Limited Edition
FontanaArte celebrates Tavolo con Ruote, designed by Gae Aulenti in 1980, with a limited edition for the 35th anniversary of this iconic piece of design, exhibited in the most important art museums in the world (including the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris).
The Lady of Architecture (we talked about her in this post) has designed this table starting from an everyday object, an industrial cart used to transport glass in FontanaArte factory, that has become something else: a table top with a 15 mm float glass supported by four industrial rubber wheels.
The 35th anniversary edition is available in 350 pieces, only in the square 120 x 120 cm size. The glass top has the words “FontanaArte Tavolo con Ruote Limited Edition 35 anni design Gae Aulenti” while the fork of one wheel is laser engraved with the serial number, also included in the certificate of authenticity that guarantees its high quality standards.
