Allegory is an original desk designed by the designers duo GamFratesi in 2015 for the brand Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH.

In perfect keeping with the style of the brand that prefers modeling of wood and carries on an ancient and craftsmanship of the wood, GamFratesi with elegance and simplicity outlines a single desk. The large disk in steam bent beech wood houses one straw screen Vienna and characterizes the desk with the iconic elements, joining the plan with the curved part of the base. The coarse weave also suggests a versatile use of this element, which for aesthetic becomes functional, allowing you to attach additional accessories to its plot and reminders.

GamFratesi studio was founded in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and italian architect Enrico Fratesi. GamFratesi’s design takes its creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal and in an experimental approach to their chosen materials and techniques. Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi draw on the classic Danish furniture and craft tradition as well as the classic Italian intellectual and conceptual approach.
