George Nelson - Kitchen

George Nelson, architect and designer, was born in 1908 in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated in architecture from Yale University and perfects his training at the American Academy in Rome. Became famous for his innovative publications, has introduced the concept of "family room". Thus begins his collaboration with the company Herman Miller and subsequently Vitra in 1957 and soon became a key figure in American design and a founding father of modernism USA. His works, functional and fanciful, are immortal and exhibited in design museums around the world. He died in New York City in 1986.
