Intersection Small Cabinet by La Manufacture is part of the eponymous living furniture collection designed by Neri&Hu during the 2020 pandemic. This historic event prompts the design duo to reflect on the value of community and sharing, such as that which takes place in monasteries.

Intersection is a series of elements for the living area of the house that celebrates monastic life. The use of natural or stained wood panels for the horizontal and vertical elements and the pedestal leg give this series of sideboards a simple, yet sculptural and monolithic appearance. Intersection Small Cabinet is halfway between a piece of furniture and an altar, a simple design that expresses itself through clean, uncluttered lines, evoking traditional and religious furniture that prioritises function over ornamentation. Despite its simple and austere appearance, this collection designed and developed during the pandemic exudes a certain sense of tranquillity and serenity. It is an invitation to focus on what really matters, on building sincere relationships.
