Designed by Michael Anastassiades for the Salvatori brand since 1946, Love Me, Love Me Not is a dining table entirely made in marble.

Love Me, Love Me Not is a dining table with a refined and minimalist design. A solid structure in Rosa Portogallo marble has the task of exalting its elegance. This wonderful table is characterized by a spiking simplicity that makes it able to fully appreciate the beauty of the marble. In the words of Michael Anastassiades “I wanted to use regal colors which conveyed a sense of the grandiose, through the sumptuousness that is associated with marble. Simultaneously, I didn’t want to overwhelm the eye and so it was necessary to strike a balance between this lavishness and the functionality and of lightness of the tables”.

Michael Anastassiades is a Cypriot designer who founded his studio in 1994 in London to explore the contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of products, furniture and environmental design. His creations are at the crossroad between industrial design and decorative art and are meant to provoke dialogue, participation and interaction with those who come in close contact whith them. Especially well known for his lighting production, Anastassiades combines simple geometric shapes such as tubes, oblongs and spheres with shiny surfaces and reflective materials, such as mirrored glass and polished bronze. His lights decorate hotels, restaurants and stores worldwide.
