Today, as in 1852, when Hästens creaftsmen were saddlers as well as upholsterers, the quality of the raw materials and the art of producing beds continue to be at the center of the Swedish company's business. In Koping's workshop, craftsmen have always been working to develop the concept of modern bedding through innovative techniques such as super plush spring systems.
What makes a bed the perfect place to find rest and comfort? The Hästens formula provides for the use of natural and non-allergenic materials such as horsehair for padding. This material also acts as a micro spring system and is equipped with a ventilation system that prevents body heat from becoming moisture. Wool is indispensable for adjusting the bed temperature, linen removes static electricity and the cotton gives softness to the mattress.
What's more, Hästens' patented spring system follows body shapes, favoring the natural circulation of blood. For this reason, a Hästens bed is a perfect fit for body well-being, embellished with the iconic blue checkered fabric that has become the brand's distinctive sign and is now available in different colors.
The structure of the bed incorporates an additional thin mattress, providing three degrees of stiffness. The topper is the last element and determines price variations, while the height of the feet depends on that of the mattress.
