WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) materials join the warm appearance of wood and the functionality of plastic materials. They are made of polymers and plant materials and do not splinter, are moisture-resistant and don’t require any special maintenance. Even wood by itself, however, is increasingly chosen by designers for their outdoor lines. Teak in particular can last for generations. The Mood chair by Tribù is a warm combination of teak and handwoven tricord that consists of polyolefin and is weather-resistant, but has a very soft look.
