Piero Lissoni signs the new Avio Sofa for Knoll
Avio Sofa System is part of the collection of sofas designed by Piero Lissoni for Knoll. A technological soul for a modular system adaptable to any room in the home. Comfort and modularity that are combined with a sophisticated and contemporary design.
The soft shapes of the new, contemporary and versatile Knoll modular sofa system, is now expanded thanks to an innovative patented mechanism and original asymmetric elements. Aesthetics and technology are distinctive features: ideal for those who love a solid and elegant design, expression of a comfortable and relaxed lifestyle.
Inside Avio there is a mechanism that can be activated with a simple gesture and which allows you to rotate the terminal element to make rest, reading and conversation even more comfortable. This year Avio also evolves by incorporating asymmetry: the corner version goes beyond the idea of the right angle and offers a scalene triangle of innovative and generous proportions that serves as a final element to create compositions of irregular beauty.
Avio's metal base is available in the finishes painted aluminum or painted black. The covering of each seat, completely removable, is fixed to the structure by individual supports. The seat and back cushions are made of variable density rubber lined in various layers of polyester fibers to allow greater comfort to its guests.
The renewed Avio is now also presented in a more compact version, suggesting an informal and relaxed atmosphere without renouncing any of the aesthetic advantages of the original. This version has a slightly deeper seat, which allows you to adapt to smaller spaces, always offering incomparable moments of relaxation.

Describing the modular sofa made for Knoll, Piero Lissoni said he "imagined that Avio could move, responding to the user's desire for convenience and sociability. Linked to this idea of movement, a large irregular corner element has been introduced that slightly alters the pure and precise line of Avio ".
