Pieter Maes was fascinated by the creation of Monologs from prehistoric art and the traces left by 99% of unwritten human history. His work consists in the study of pure forms that do not belong to any precise era or place. Mission accomplished with the Monolog stool, whose raw and bold shape is addressed directly to us. Monolog does not leave you indifferent, it seems to come directly from the Neolithic, in the guise of an artifact whose simple presence transmits a message of past civilizations to us, even touching us inside.
