Phoenix Outdoor Sofa

Phoenix is an outdoor furniture collection designed by Vincent Van Duysen for the Molteni&C brand. The series comprises several elements, including a sofa, available in two sizes, armchair, pouf, and low tables, with teak or a lava stone top.

The Phoenix line is part of the Timeout Collection, the Italian company's debut in the outdoor furniture sector. Timeout is characterized by the burnished painted aluminum band that frames all the profiles of the furniture like a ribbon, and by its contemporary interpretation of the polypropylene rope weave.

The Phoenix two-seater sofa is available in widths of 150 cm or 180 cm and has a burnished painted aluminum frame, and a special weave made entirely by hand, with a motif reminiscent of traditional basket weaving. A material and color contrast for timeless elegance.

Designed by Vincent Van Duysen

Vincent Van Duysen was born in Lokeren, Belgium, in 1962. After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture of Sint-Lucas in Ghent, he immediately began his career working with Aldo Cibic in Milan, and later with Jean De Meulder in Antwerp. In 1990 he founded his first studio. In 2016 he was appointed art director of the Italian brands Molteni & C and Dada, in 2018 he was a creative director of Sahco for Kvadrat, and he also collaborated with Serax, B&B Italia and Flos.
