Roma is an armchair designed by Jonas Wagell for Tacchini. Fully upholstered with fabric.

Almost suspended above the floor, with the slenderest of legs upholding a large, cosy seat. Jonas Wagell imagines a family of seater, inspired by the soft, curving form of a semicircle: this little collection is called Roma, a strong reference to the classical sphere in which its lines are rooted. With citations from fifties design, not of affectation, but of clear inspiration, this design is “classical” by nature, and not only in name.

Designed by Jonas Wagell

Jonas Wagell is a young Swedish architect and designer born in 1973. After having trained in graphics, communication, design and architecture, he founded the JWDA studio in 2008. His style is characterized by soft, friendly, minimal but highly expressive shapes, which characterize every element, from lighting to furniture to kitchen accessories. Among the great successes, there are the series of Julep sofas and armchairs, created for Tacchini and the JWDA lamps designed for Menu, the symbol of a functional, intelligent and essential design.
