Tropique Dining Chair with Fringes

Tropique is a sophisticated outdoor armchair designed by Mathieu Matégot for the Gubi brand.

Made with a structure in black or matt white metal. Upholstered with Leslie water-repellent fabric with fringes along the armrests and the backrest. Available in two colour combinations: white and orange or white and blue.

Created in the 1950s by Mathieu Matégot, the Hungarian-born French master of post-war design, for Gubi, the Tropique collection captures the timeless glamour and the exotic luxury of outdoor living on the Côte d’Azur in the mid-20th century. A succesful combination of simple materials and decadent aesthetics: the frame is made of stainless steel rods, featuring a characteristic curve of the feet, a distinctive trait of Matégot’s style and a detail that blends the collection into a clear and coherent set. The new finishes and the addition of fringes evoke the terraces of restaurants on Capri and the cafes on the Riviera, adding an extra bohemian touch.

You can get the goods delivered to any address by specifying the full details at the time of order placement.

You can change your mind

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the order delivery, without giving any reason.

The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which the Customer acquires, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by the Customer acquires, physical possession of the goods.
