Designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù for Flos, Parentesi is an iconic pendat lamp providing direct light, without dimmer.

A veritable icon of "Made in Italy", Parentesi stands out for its essential design and formal minimalism obtained through a work of subtraction in the pursuit of simplicity. The lamp moves vertically thanks to the sliding of a painted or nickel-plated shaped steel tube on a ceiling-to-floor steel cable (with a lenght of 4 meters).

Note: This element is not dimmable and only includes the steel structure without the base or cable. It can be used as replacement of a broken one or to add it to an existing one and create a double light source, but only with not dimmable models.

Achille Castiglioni, an unforgettable name in the history of Italian design. Designer, architect and son of the famous sculptor Giannino, he incorporated in his works the "plastic" approach of his father. His life was also shaped by the collaboration with his brother, Pier Giacomo. Experimenting with forms, techniques and materials, the Castiglioni brothers created the iconic Snoopy, Taccia, Toio and Arco lamps for Flos, the Mezzadro stool for Zanotta and the Sanluca armchair for Poltrona Frau.
